Valley Anesthesiology Foundation's charter supports the following charitable objectives:
In 2024, the physician partners of Valley Anesthesiology Consultants decided to create a non-profit foundation to assist local, national and international organizations. The catalyst for the foundation was the prevailing sentiment among Valley shareholders that the group's members have been extremely fortunate and feel the need to share with, assist, and help our local and global communities.
The efforts to form the Valley Anesthesiology Foundation as a 501c(3) organization were shepherded by Valley's founding members and their now-retired partner, Lisa Wilkinson-Fannin, a neuroanesthesiologist with a long-standing personal commitment to community service.
Since its inception, the Valley Anesthesiology Foundation has provided financial assistance to several charitable causes, including the American Red Cross, AmeriCares, Ryan House, Ronald McDonald House, St. Mary's Food Bank, the St. Vincent DePaul Society, as well as numerous charities throughout Arizona. Funded exclusively through contributions from Valley's physicians and employees, the foundation also supports medical relief efforts nationally and internationally.
More than 20 of Valley's anesthesiologists have participated in missions in countries such as Haiti, China, El Salvador, Rwanda, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Columbia, New Guinea, Dominican Republic, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Ghana, Ethiopia, Jordan, Brazil and Peru. Valley supports this humanitarian work by crediting their physicians with up to 5 vacation days per year. Among many other agencies, the foundation has supported Medical Hands for Healing, Doctors Without Borders, Operation Smile, the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, the International Committee for the Red Cross and People to People.
Valley Anesthesiology Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charity that is chartered to consider donations to organizations with a 501(c)(3) or 509(a) tax status. Inquiries and grant requests should be directed to Valley Anesthesiology Foundation, 1850 N. Central Ave., Suite 1600, Phoenix, Arizona 85004.
